We are human beings; naturally, we need to be liked by others. Often we care so much about what other people think about us. Growing up, we have learned to follow the standard or the norm that our society has created.
We always do the things we are supposed to do, which makes us forget to follow our hearts. We have a dream, but we don't dare to chase it because we fear failure. We fear how other people will judge or think about us.
And we even try to please others to make them approve or like us. We act like these because we have learned that we have to get approval from others, making us feel we fit in. We live up to other's expectations.
I was the one who tried to be a people pleaser because I wanted approval and like. I used to live up to other's expectations that included my family's. Until one day, I have realized that living that way will not make me happy.
I don't have to worry about what others will think about me because it isn't my business, but it is their business. And I have only one life, why don't I live and spend it the way I want? And what others think of me does not matter, but what I think about myself does matter!

You are given one life, and how you will spend it; it's up to you. We can't refuse that most of the time in our life, we have to follow whatever others do or think that we consider it will be the things that most people are supposed to do.
We have learned to follow social norms, and if we don't obey these rules, we will not fit in. And we think whoever does not fit in will be judged by others.
We do care so much about what others will think about us! And we always seek approval and validation from others. Living this way won't make us happy because we do not follow our truth.
Trying to please others and trying to fit in somewhere you do not belong will not make you any better. But what will make you better is being you, follow your passion, and follow your truth.
Even though it may seem hard to start, the more you spend time to know yourself, the more you will finally connect with your inner and find your truth.
When you no longer care about what others think or talk about you. You will no longer seek approval and validation. Because you know you are the one who knows most about you.

This quote hits me hard. I believe confidence in ourselves is vital because it will lead us to any opportunity in our lives.
When we are confident in ourselves, we will believe in ourselves because we see our worth, so we don't look for anyone to approve or validate us.
Being confident doesn't mean that we see ourselves better than others or are superior, but we don't compare ourselves to others.
We have confidence because we know who we are, and it doesn't matter if others don't like us. Or they may even judge us!
Being confident in yourself, you don't need to be a very successful or high profile person. And there is nothing to do with external factors, but it is something you see yourself from within.

If you love yourself and know your worth, you will get through any situation. Because when you acknowledge your self-worth and love yourself enough, you will stop seeking love and validation from others.
You know that your love is from within, and you don't rely on others to love you. You don't need to find others to tell you that you are worthy.
When you love yourself enough, you will not let yourself suffer so long or allow yourself to be with someone who doesn't deserve you.
You know that your happiness is from within, and you are the one who is responsible for it, not others. If something makes you unhappy, you navigate why and remove yourself from that situation. Likewise, if something makes you happy, you pay attention and gravitate toward it.

We perpetually struggle to find our goal in life, but we feel lost and empty inside.
We tend to forget that we don't have to get everything we want, then we can be happy because happiness is from within, not from outside. It's all about contentment and appreciation.
If we measure our success(destination)by comparing our life to others, we will never achieve it because there will always be someone else that is richer and smarter than us.
Instead, if we base our success on our contentment, we can live happily every day. Being contentment doesn't mean we stop developing or complacent, but that because we choose to be happy with what we already have while working toward our goal.

I believe that we all have been sent to live on this planet for a specific purpose; we all have our missions to accomplish. That's why our souls were put on this earth to be.
When we are young, we have an intuitive understanding of who we are and how we do things. But as we grow older, we stop listening to our inner voice, and instead, we do what others tell us to do.
We go to school and college to get a degree that we believe will help us find a good-paying job or work for a prestigious company. We do the things that we are supposed to do. But often we feel like something is missing.
I used to be the one who followed the path that I thought I was supposed to do. I just did anything that I had been told to do. I went to school, University, found the job, and worked with a prestigious company.
As time went by, I found myself wondering if it really what I want in my life? I thought I am more than my job. I can do something phenomenal, I have something to offer, and I can make a difference.
However, I was distracted by people I surrounded; I let their opinions and judgments influence me. So I didn't want to change because I didn't want to face the failures. I thought if I failed, they would judge me. I let the noise of others' opinions drown out my inner voice.
There comes a time when I have realized I have to stop living my life based on others think of me and start living for myself. I stop judging myself for others, and it doesn't matter what they think about me. What matters is what I think about myself.
I have decided to follow my heart, inner voice, and let them lead me to pursue my goal. When I discover my purpose in life, I feel my life has meaning and fulfilled. I no longer need to be filled from the outside or seek approval and validation from others.

I stumble on this quote that reminds me of myself in the past. I used to let the circumstances affect me; I thought whatever happened to me would block me from moving forward.
I thought I would get stuck in that situation forever. I felt my heart would never heal, and I would never get out of that impossible struggle.
I even beat up and blamed myself for whatever happened. I had been dwelling on the negativities and focusing on problems. I had let myself wallow in self-pity too long.
And there comes a time in my life when I have realized that I have to do something for myself. If I don't love and don't see my self-worth, no one will.
Everyone makes mistakes; we all must go through hard times in life, and it doesn't matter if we will get knocked down, but what counts is we have to get up.
Our present circumstances don't define our future and ourselves; it's just a starting point. And the best is yet to come.

I used to be the one who follows the social norms, the way I thought I was supposed to do to fit into it. Even though I had my dream, I should give up if it wasn't how most people would.
Most people will go to school to get some degree, and that will be the path to access the prestigious companies that will give them the good-paying, stable jobs or the jobs that will secure their futures.
Those beliefs are the principles or the norms that we all have learned from generation to generation. And there is nothing wrong if we follow them, but those beliefs only make us ordinary people.
The ordinary people who work from 8 to 5 and never feel satisfied or fulfilled; they are always busy all day but still feel something is missing. And often, they doubt themselves about the way they live their lives. If it is the way they want to be.
Back to the story about myself, I have been finding myself for my whole life. I have always asked myself: who am I?what is my life purpose?And what can I help to make the world a better place? I have been telling myself that I can be someone who can make a difference in the world.
I am more than my past, background, current job, emotions, feeling, etc. I have started discovering myself from the inside by spending time alone to contemplate what I want in my life, and most importantly, what I do that will make me happy and fulfilled.
The more I spend time being with myself, the more I learn about who I am, the more I love myself. And I am so happy that I finally have found myself. Now I know that being an inspirational blogger, author, and speaker are my passions.
Those are the things that make me feel that my life has meaning and purpose. Even though I am still far away from where I want to be, I believe somehow I will make it!

As we are human beings, we all struggle to find our goal. We want to succeed and be accepted. We try our best to fit in with our social norms. And often, we compare ourselves to others.
We tend to forget what we have done, but instead, we focus on how far we can go. We forget to appreciate ourselves for the hard work we have done. We blame, criticize, and beat ourselves up when we make mistakes.

Respect yourself enough to say,"I deserve better."
This quote reminds me of my old self. Myself in the past that I had been struggling to let go of someone who didn't deserve my love, tears, attention, time, energy, etc.
When you truly love someone, you will lose yourself. You will give your all to that person, and you even think you can't live without him. It would be great if the person you love treated you the way you treated him. But if he didn't treat you the way you treated him, you should better move on.
Letting go of someone and moving on is not easy, especially when you are genuinely in love with him. It is like myself in the past that I let someone stay in my life longer than he deserved. I tried to hold on to him because I thought I didn't want to lose him. I thought I couldn't live without him.
And the more I tried to hold on to him, the more I was hurt. Often, I cried myself to sleep. I even felt like it was the end of the world. I had let myself wallow in self- pity for months until it came to the point when I realized that I am more than my pains, my feelings; I am worthy, and I deserve better.
When you acknowledge your worth, you love yourself enough; you respect yourself; you won't let yourself stay in the relationship that does not serve you. You won't settle for anything less than you deserve.

As I am getting older, I have just realized that I enjoy spending time alone. Whenever I have my free time, I will be with myself rather than go out with my friends. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean I don't like to be with other people, but recently I just love to be with myself.
When I have more time for myself, I come to know what I really want in my life. We live in an era of social media, every day since we wake up until we go to bed, we are bombarded by information. We are so obsessed with social media, we are curious to know what other people are doing, and we also want to let the world know what we are doing.
I used to enjoy spending time on social media, but recently. I have learned that the more I spend time on it, the less I am happy because there is so much information to consume that I can't manage myself to stop reading. And by the time I realize that I should stop reading, I find myself wasting too much time without doing anything productive!
So now I have known that spending more time with myself, it really makes me happier. I enjoy reading tons of books and never get tired of them. Sometimes I go outside walking along the beach, enjoy seeing the waves, flowers, birds, etc. The more I spend time with myself, the more I stay connected with it, and when I choose to focus on the inside, I tend to be less frustrated and less be affected by the circumstances.

We do our best as we can to reach our goal, but often we feel like we still have a long way to go; we find ourselves doubting how far we can go.
We dwell on negative thoughts and keep blaming ourselves for making mistakes or making poor decisions about something.
We tend to forget that everyone makes mistakes, nobody perfect; we make mistakes, and we have learned from them.
When others make mistakes, we forgive them, but we are so hard on ourselves when we make mistakes.

When you wake up in the morning, you may think your life is so dull, or you may feel discouraged because things don't go your way. You may even think sometimes you barely get through the day.
Because of obstacles, you have faced draining your energy, and you can't find any reason that will make you want to jump out of bed.
Maybe you need to change your perspectives; changing perspectives is like changing the window through which you view the world, and it is not something that you can change overnight, but it doesn't mean you can't do it.
To change your perspective, you need to change the way you see things. You need to change your thoughts, your attitude. What if you wake up every morning with the feeling of appreciation, gratitude for the things you have, and be thankful for being alive.
Be grateful for having a family that loves you, a few good friends, a job, a roof over your head, and food on the table while there are many people somewhere else in the world who are still fighting to survive. They don't have a place to live, food to eat, some people don't even know how to manage to live each day because they have nowhere to go. Some people have to escape from being shot!
Thinking about those struggling people may help you feel better about your life. And I am sure those unfortunate people they want to live the life you are living now.
Life is too short to think about things that make you feel bad, so change your thoughts, attitude toward things, if you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
When you change the way you see the world, and you try to search only for the goodness in life, then your life transforms into a fantastic adventure.

Our thought is everything if we can control it we will be happier. Unfortunately, most of us tend to let our thought control us, and some of us even think we can't control our thought.
I can understand people who think that they can't control their thoughts because it is not an easy thing to do; it does not something that can change overnight.
However, it is not impossible if you really want to have a positive thought, you can work on it step by step. And a powerful technique to have a positive thought is to be aware of your thought.
To notice what's happening in your head before your thoughts have a chance to build any momentum. The sooner you catch yourself thinking about the negative thing the easier you can stop your train of thought before it has a chance to get going.
For example, you might face difficulties in your life; you lose your job, break up with your partner. It can be understandable if you would feel sad about a failed relationship or discouraged about losing your job, but instead of obsessing with what has happened, what if you start to focus on the positive things such as what you can learn from them.
Breaking up with your partner gives you lessons about how to improve yourself and give you the opportunity to learn about how to live as a couple. And it's a time to reflect yourself on your relationship, give yourself some time to think about it. Breakup is not the end of the world, you still have lots of chances to find a new and maybe a better one.
And losing your job is not the end of the world either! There still are tons of jobs that are waiting for you. You are losing your job because you deserve something better.
So your thought is everything, whatever you think you become, and it is up to you whether you will let your thoughts control you or you will control them.

You don't have to compete with other people because we all have our own uniqueness and skill. And we all have a flaw. You may good at something but you may poor at something.
No one is perfect that what makes us human; we are not supernatural that has the power to control everything. We rise we fall, we learn and grow from our failures.
It doesn't matter if you fail but what matters is how you manage to rise and learn from it. Give every day a new chance for yourself to begin and don't let your mistakes from the past destroy you but use them as stepping stones.

We fall, we rise, we hurt, and we learn. We are not perfect and it's okay if we have a meltdown because we are human.
We make mistakes but they will not be mistakes if we learn from them.
Don't forget you are human. It's okay to have a meltdown, just don't unpack and live there. Cry it out and then refocus on where you are headed.

It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not. It's your life.
You don't need to please other people. You have the right to do anything that makes you happy and if they don't like what you do, it's not your business. As long as you are happy and satisfied with yourself, you are good to go.

Our life may not be perfect. We don't get everything we want but don't let it forget what we have.

You were born on this planet to live life for yourself, not for others. You have the right to do anything you want and love to do if it does not harm others.
And if it makes you happy, you don't need to get approval from anyone, you don't need to explain yourself either.
Never explain yourself to anyone. You don't need anyone's approval. Live your life and do what makes you happy.

When we get up, every morning, the first thing we should do is to love, encourage and believe in ourselves. Even though others or sometimes our loved ones don't believe in ourselves, it doesn't matter; as long as we have faith and believe in ourselves that it matters most.
We don't need to seek any encouragement from others but we can start to motivate and encourage ourselves. When we are secure and whole, nothing can shake us.
If now you feel you have a long way to go, it does not matter--what matters most is how far you have come!
"Don't wait until you reach your goal to be proud of yourself. Be proud of every step you take toward reaching your goal."
This morning, it doesn't matter how you feel but remember life goes on. And if you feel discouraged, just look in the mirror, the person you see is the one who loves you the most. This person who has been through many things but still being strong.
