Don't take things personally

If you can stop taking things personally, you will be happier. I am pretty sure that everyone knows about this; however, it is easier said than done.

I have never thought carefully about it until one day when I found myself being frustrated with other people’s actions. Let me share my experience with you.

I went to the store; as I walked into the front door, the lady pushed a shopping cart toward me because the exit and the entrance were the same. So I stopped to let her out. And while I was stepping back, I didn’t know that there was another lady behind me. I accidentally stepped on her foot; I said sorry to her but seemed like she didn’t accept my apology. I could tell from her attitude because she gave me a dirty look.  Her behavior bothered me, and I felt like my mood was ruined.

This is just one example of situations in my routine life. As we are human beings, we can’t avoid facing unpleasant circumstances. I have realized that I can’t control people’s behaviors, attitudes, and unpredicted incidents.

If I still let myself get frustrated, I would never be happy because there will always be an unpleasant incident. When things frustrate me, I need to change my attitude and stop taking things personally. What others say or do is not about me; it’s about them. Now I have found myself being happier since that day, I have changed my attitude.
I hope you can do it as I did and you will be happier. Stop taking things personally!

"Don't take anything personally because by taking things personally you set yourself  up to  suffer for nothing."

  2. Hello,

Sorry for lately replying. I would say it depends on how you manage your time. If possible you should post every day or if can't at least 3 times a week should be fine. Consistency is key.
    Good luck!
